A little bit about me,

A little bit about me,

Hi my name is Jonathan Stasiukevicius and I am an artist. Growing up I always had an interest in art in any form, whether it was painting with my grandmother or working on sculptures for class projects. I graduated  from Johnson & Wales University with a Bachelors Degree in Graphics Design. Creating menus and branding restaurants for the culinary students was always one of my favorite projects. It was also in school where I started painting murals. As well as art I also enjoy playing hockey, snowboarding and staying active. Outside of work I enjoy designing custom clothes for my friends and family and, trying out new restaurants. Whether it be making a small logo for my friends or reworking a cafe into a pro shop I always look forward to new projects.

About my Logo,

When it came to branding myself as a Freelance designer I needed a logo. I took inspiration from my mother. My mother is someone that may have not taught me how to paint or draw but I wouldn’t be where I am today without her love and support. Back in middle school my mother would make my lunch most days and she would put my last name on my lunch bag so I wouldn’t lose it ( I lost it at least 3 times a year ). Since my last name has 14 letters I always went by Staz. So my mother would write “Staz” and she put a line through the middle of the “z”. I don’t know why but I always thought that was the coolest thing ever. So when the time came to create my logo I knew exactly how I wanted to represent myself. To me it, it means a lot more than just a shortened version of my name with a line through it.
